Mountains and New Tunes

This last week I got to go to Mt Shasta Fiddle Camp.  It's a small camp at a park where the Sacramento River begins.  You can drink the water right out of the river.  There were lots of amazing musicians there with me.  I got to meet and play music with some fantastic folks, and it's going to take me a few weeks to digest it all.

I had an idea occur to me while eating one of the delicious vegetarian breakfasts.  I should learn a new fiddle tune everyday.  And then I realized, But I'm too lazy.  So then I thought, I'll start a blog to keep me accountable.


So I did!  The new blog is over at www.newtuneaday.blogspot.com and I'll be posting a new tune that I learn everyday.  I'll play it through slowly at first, and then up to speed.  My goal is to post at least 5 a week.  After a few months, the blog will have quite the collection of tunes for people to learn themselves on whatever instrument they play.
